the e.studio is changing…
Exciting new plans are underway on level 1 of the Library. This area is being refurbished to provide a student learning space suitable for both group and individual study.
These changes will impact on the service currently available in the e.studio so to provide centralised and open access to some of the equipment the multimedia PCs will be relocated to the vacant office space on Level 3, next to the photocopying room. Here they will become part of an equipment area that will include microfilm reader/printers, scanners, the multimedia PCs and the microfilm and microfiche collection which will be relocated from Level 2.
The e.studio Macs are at the end of their lease life and will not available after 30 October 2007.
The equipment space on level 3 will be open to all students with instruction sheets provided to help you. Support for the equipment will be available from the IT help desk staff. We will confirm the date of actual move once finalised.
The use of the equipment area on level 3 will be subject to the Library rules and conditions of use and the use all computing facilities in the Library building is subject to the University's Information Technology Security Policy.
