Find journals in the Library
To find out if the library holds a journal you can search Journal Finder or the
Library Catalogue.
Journal Finder
Online journals and print journals are listed in Journal Finder. If the library holds the print journal you will be provided with a Library call number enabling you to retrieve the journal from the library shelves. If the Library holds the journal online then follow the links to the online services and search for the article you require.
Library Catalogue
The Library Catalogue lists all items in the library collections including online journals and print journals, books, conference proceedings, reports, videorecordings, computer software, etc.
Finding print journals in the Library
Print journals are located in four areas of the Library:
- The latest issue of a print journal is located on Level 2, in the “New Serials” area, to the left of the Library entrance.
- Recent issues (last 12 months) are located on Level 2, in the “Current Serials” area.
- All other journals are shelved in call number order, with the books, in the main Library collections on Levels 3 and 4, with the exception of
- Older volumes, generally pre-1980, shelved in call number order in Stack compactus on Level 1.
