What is Journal Finder?
Journal Finder is a full list of journal titles (print and electronic)
which may be accessed in, or through Macquarie University Library. Many
online titles are available in full text.
Serial publications such as newspapers, annual reports, and some book
series, etc., are also included. The information in the 'Holdings' column
should be used as a guide only, e.g. individual missing issues in print
serials are not indicated.
Separate entries are shown for each location within the Library or for
each electronic service, as holdings information varies.
Titles available online
If a journal is available via an online service there will be a 'Electronic journal' link under 'Call number' which will take you directly to the journal itself, whenever possible, otherwise, to the home page of the service.
Access to some full text services requires a login and password. Contact the Information Desk on 9850 7500 for more information.
If no online service is indicated, the title is available in print format only.
Searching options
Searches may be limited by selecting one of the following radio buttons
'electronic journals' 'print journals' or 'both' (the default
option)
Search terms may be:
- first words of a journal title
- keywords from titles of journals
- These search terms may be limited to whole words, and employ the Boolean operators 'and' (default), 'or', or, by selecting appropriate radio button.
- Click on Find Journals! button to conduct search.
Use this button to identify the print and/or electronic titles available to Macquarie users from each service subscribed to by the Library.
Browser compatibility
Journal Finder has been designed to work with standards-compliant browsers
(e.g. Internet Explorer v5.5 and v 6, Netscape v 6.2). Difficulties
may arise with older versions of browsers, though every attempt has
been made to eliminate these difficulties.
