The Lachlan & Elizabeth Macquarie Archive (LEMA) is an initiative of Macquarie University Library, in partnership with the State Library of NSW, State Records NSW, the National Library of Scotland, and the Historic Houses Trust of NSW.

The aim of the Project is to increase and improve access to the writings of Lachlan Macquarie and Elizabeth Macquarie. Transcripts and historical details will be added progressively to this site, thereby creating a digital gateway into the lives and times of the Macquaries in the period 1761-1835.
