Palaeontology Collection

The Palaeontology Collection has as its core the Library of the late Professor Jess Johnson (University of Oregon, Corvallis), purchased by Macquarie University Library in 1994. It includes some rare monographs, Russian language material, a large collection of offprints and the personal papers of Professor Johnson.

Professor John Talent (jtalent@laurel.ocs.mq.edu.au) and Associate Professor Ruth Mawson (rmawson@laurel.ocs.mq.edu.au), Directors of Macquarie University Centre of Ecostratigraphy and Palaeobiology (MUCEP), are adding additional materials, to form a special resource for postgraduate and academic researchers in palaeontology.

The collection is housed in Room 4L, Level 4.

Authorised users of the Collection are Macquarie University academic staff, researchers and postgraduate students, palaeontologists listed in the Directory of Australasian Palaeontologists, and other visiting academics and research scholars who will present a letter of authorisation from Environmental and Life Sciences.
