How to Borrow

Take your book and your Macquarie University ID card to the Self Check machines in the Self Service area on Level 2. With some exceptions, any book you find on the shelves or trolleys may be borrowed.

ID cards are issued at enrolment and must be updated at re-enrolment. It is the responsibility of the borrower to inform the University of any change of address. For details about ID Cards go to Campus Card Information.

Never lend your card to another person and notify the Library immediately if you lose your card. The person whose name appears on the card is responsible for any material borrowed on it and any for fines or fees that may result.

When you use one of the Self Check machines your loan will be automatically be processed and a record slip produced for each book that you borrow, including the date for return.

Special loan conditions apply to material located in Reserve, Curriculum, Audiovisual, and the Map collections.
